GLASS PANEL CUTTING
The custom cutting of glass panels takes place at the glass cutting unit. The most modern Lisec cutting lines are available for the use of our associates to perform this operation, to enable service our customers in the most efficient way possible.
Maximum size: 3210 x 6000 mm
CNC MACHINING
With the aid of our CMS model CNC workstation, we can place drillholes and cuts in the glass panels, while simultaneously performing chamfering. The respective size and position of the drillholes and cuts are entered into the machine by our CNC machine operators.
Maximum size: 3300 x 6000 mm
CHAMFERING
The chamfering of glass is necessary from both a safety and an aesthetic point of view. Additionally, a chamfered edge is a precondition of certain technologies. Our machines are modern, semiautomatic, straight and shaped chamfering devices.
Types: ZÁM (matt chamfering), "K" profile grinding (its polishing version is the KP), "C" profile grinding (CP is its polishing version), facet cutting, angle grinding
DRILLING
Using our automatic glass industry laser rated drills, we are able to place drillholes of various sizes and types into glass panels. Normal full and recessed drillholes are both available.
Drillhole diameter range: 6 - 100 mm | Larger holes are made by CNC machining
TEMPERING, HEAT STRENGTHENING
Over the course of the heat treatment processes, we create a residual surface compressive stress, thus improving the resistance of the glass against mechanical and temperature effects. The load bearing capacity of tempered glass is approximately seven times that of normal glass. The tempering process occurs at approximately 700 degrees Celsius.
Maximum size: 2850 x 6000 mm | Codes: ESG (tempered glass), TVG (heat-strengthened glass)CURVING
The curving of the glass panels takes place via heat treatment, at an approximate temperature of 600 degrees Celsius. With our NorthGlass curving tempering furnace, we have the opportunity to manufacture curved glass in tempered (ESG) and heat-strengthened (TVG) varieties. We also perform the curving of structures with special geometry, with template technology.
Maximum size (in ESG or TVG varieties): 2800 x 2500 mm / R500-R20000 mm
Maximum size (with template technology): 2750 x 5950 mm / unique geometryFUSION
The manufature of fused glass occurs in a special furnace, at an approximate temperature of l 800-1000 Degrees Celsius, by placement and melting in a template. With changes in temperature and the duration of the heating period, unique, special shapes can be created as well.
Maximum size: 1400 x 2400 mm | Maximum height: 300 mm
LAMINATION
Over the course of the lamination procedure, we glue together a minimum of two glass layers under vacuum conditions, at an approximate temperature of 120 degrees Celsius, using EVA (ethylene-vinyl-acetate) laminating foil. Consequently, glued safety glass is created. Decorative elements, e.g. textiles or special (e.g. colorful or acid etched) foils may also be added between the glass layers.
Maximum size: 2400 x 4700 mm | Code: VSG (glued safety glass)
INSULATED GLASS
We can manufacture our insulated glass in various sizes and shapes. We place spacer rods between the layers; these can be made of various materials. We fill the air gap with argon gas, thus – depending on the order of the layers – we can get heat transference of as much as Ug=0,7 W/m2K.
Maximum size: 3210 x 6000 mm
Aluminum spacer: 5.5 – 23.5 mm (2 mm stair)
Plastic spacer: 10 - 22 mm (2 mm stair) / dark grey or black
Glass fiber fire protection spacer: 12, 18, 22, 28 mmCERAMIC PRINTING
There is an opportunity to print patterns or even high fidelity images on the glass surface. Our glass printing equipment uses ceramic dye, which is burned into the surface of the glass over the course of the tempering process, thus creating durable and unique surfaces.
Maximum size: 2200 x 4000 mm
DECORATION
The various surface treatment processes (e.g. sand blowing, acid etching) are preceded by preparation in the decor worshop. Our colleagues apply self-adhering foil to the glass in accordance with the pattern to be developed. The drafting of drawings required for this operation are also done here.
PAINTING, SCREEN PRINTING
The patterning, partial or full opacity of the glass panels, and their color scheme can be implemented by applying fixed enamel paint. By soldering the paint onto the surface, we make it resistant to mechanical and chemical effects. To create a pattern, screen printing is or roller painting is also available.
Maximum size (painting): 2200 x 6000 mm
Maximum size (screen printing): 1700 x 2500 mm or 1200 x 3300 mmSANDBLASTING
In our sandblasting booth, we blast the quartz sand onto the surface of the glass with the aid of high pressure air, as a result of which the glass turns matt. The depth of the sandblasting and the degree of how matted the surface becomes can be changed in order to create unique surfaces.
Maximum size (height): 2500 mm
ACID ETCHING
Acid etching is a surface treatment method based on a chemical process. With the aid of acids with an abrasive effect that are applied onto the surface of the glass, patterned or non-reflective surfaces can be developed. Acid can even be used to remove silvering from the surface of a mirror.
