Luminari glass railing | Károlyi-Csekonics-palace

Located in the Palace Quarter of Budapest, the reconstruction and development of the Károlyi-Csekonics-palace began in 2017, with final unveiling taking place in September of 2020.

Three new, modern stairwells were created over the course of the building cluster. LED lighting was designed for the lighting of the narrow spaces of the stairwell; according to the architectural concept, this light is supposed to be filtered by the integrated Luminari glass railings. In the interest of the even light distribution of the background lighting, the rear layer of the shaped glass structures has been sandblasted. The color palette – in harmony with the attached limestone tiles – is provided by SMOKE pattern printed textiles between the glass layers.
