Curved glass railings and glass walls | Richter Gedeon Headquarters
The wide, open staircase that spirals like a ribbon, together with the atrium-like design, is intended to enhance communication, collaboration, and thereby efficiency. The staircases and landings play a central role, and no two of them are alike. The same applies to the railings as well: a large number of glass railings were installed — both straight and curved elements — all manufactured and completed by Rákosy Glass.
Atrium from floors 1 to 6 (glass railings throughout)
8.8.2 TVG VSG float (heat-strengthened, laminated safety glass, ultra-clear) glass railings (total: 250 m²)
straight: 48 meters
curved: 166 meters
Feature staircase from floors 1 to 3 (for easier identification: the wood-clad one)
8.8.2 TVG VSG float (ultra-clear) glass railings (total: 110 m²)
straight: 86 meters
curved: 45 meters
Secondary staircase from floors 3 to 6 (for easier identification: the simple, smaller one)
8.8.2 TVG VSG float (ultra-clear) glass railings (total: 45 m²)
straight: 30 meters
curved: 10 meters
We also manufactured curved glass walls for several offices.
The precise installation required close cooperation with partner trades (e.g., fine concrete, wood panels, geodetic surveying). Once again, we were able to demonstrate our flexibility and adaptability — essential parts of any construction process, as every contributing team relies on one another to achieve the expected end result at the highest level.
Richter’s new headquarters is a building dedicated to continuous development. One of the key goals during the design process was to showcase how the company sees its future: to remain a market leader — sustainably, with restraint, yet with a strong commitment to innovation. We are confident that this new building will further support this dedication to progress.
