Heated insulated glass | Kástu Cabin Houses

Gábor U. Nagy, winner of the Ybl and Károly Kós Prizes, dreamed up seven cabins for two people, built almost entirely of high-quality wood, in which the outside and the inside meet. The special architectural vision met technical curiosity, as the heating of the cabins was solved exclusively with the heated glass used as windows and doors.

In the case of Kástu, we are talking about buildings where there are only a few important elements, but these elements must be of the best quality. In the case of a 36-square-meter, minimalist building, the idea of combining functions comes into play. For example, let the window glass be the radiator. The HELIO Heating glass the innovation of Rákosy Glass, which has been installed in more and more places - in many cases also in historic environments.

In each case, the heating glass structure is made up of several (at least two) tempered or heat-reinforced safety glass layers. The heating layer is an invisible metal conductive coating applied with nanotechnology, the resistance of which produces heat under the influence of electric current. The heat-insulating structure also includes a glass with a thermal mirror coating, thanks to which most of the heat produced is used in the interior.
