Heated insulated glass and other glass structures | The Garden Bistro
There are few rooms in a building that are as suggestive as the conservatory: balanced on the border between indoors and outdoors, it smuggles the closeness of nature into the walls. The conservatory of Kert Bisztró is both an intelligent and dynamic space, thanks to the advanced technology and sophisticated design provided by Rákosy Glass.
The side glass surfaces of the room, which are completely closed in winter made of HELIO Heating glass, were created using traditional insulating glass and shaped insulating glass.
The winter garden of Kert Bistro allows you to use the entire floor area of the bistro, all 80 square meters, even in winter, and it is also open together with the rest of the restaurant. The total performance of the 6 heating glasses is approx. 9.8 kW. The heating glasses are only used to increase the feeling of comfort, but this performance is also suitable for heating the entire bistro. The heating glasses are controlled by smart thermostats.
A total of about 38 square meters of insulating glass was installed, of which approx. 15 sqm heating glass. The structure also required shaped insulating glass, which Rákosy Glass provided as well. Thanks to its machinery, Rákosy Glass can produce special glass panels and glass structures in large quantities.
The purpose of the conservatory is to provide a pleasant temperature when the cool weather arrives, the glass surfaces allow the heat rays to pass through even in weak sunlight. This is not necessary in the summer, in fact, the many glass surfaces can easily become a curse instead of a blessing. In the case of Kert Bistro's conservatory, the solution was an accordion-like opening of the longitudinal side. The conservatory with accordion door is not a new invention, but here the choice was not so clear because of the special heating glasses.
For this, the electrical connection of the heating glasses had to be solved in such a way that they could be easily disconnected from the mains at any time. Thanks to the electrical connectors that can be disconnected with one movement, the conservatory can easily be turned into a summer one. Of course, this solution can be used anywhere, for orders of any scale.
The renovated conservatory of Kert Bistro has resulted in a versatile catering industry room, which provides optimal comfort all year round and tempts us to sit inside even in winter.
